The folks over at the corner (the National Review official blog) are beneath contempt:
So all the dems have left to hope for is that Americans die in Iraq and that Iraqis are unable to establish some form of stable government to replace the Baathist regime.

Democrats are "hoping" that Americans die?

And if a mainstream liberal magazine said that Republicans were "hopng" american soldiers would die in Kosovo to help defeat Clinton, I wonder what their reaction would be?

Thank god im a liberal. It seems that almost all prominent conservatives these days are either, insane, blatantly dishonest, or engage in nothing but smear attacks.

Donald Luskin:
Stalker, and raving lunatic.

Some background info if you haven’t heard the story as it hit the blogs last night (but you probably already have).

Donald Luskin is a “columnist” (and I use the term lightly) for the national review online who is absolutely and utterly obsessed with Paul Krugman. He has a recurring column in National Review Online that is dedicated to attacking Paul Krugman called the “Krugman truth squad”. In it he calls him a serial liar, dangerous, etc, and an entire website devoted to doing nothing but attacking Krugman as well.

Read one paragraph and you’ll see the guy hates Krugman as much as Krugman hates Bush. Only Luskin is childish and whiny about it. Look at the website for 5 minutes and try not to get the heebie jeebies.
HE even had one column entitled:
We stalked, he balked

This will be important later on...

also, hes a liar. for example:
HANNITY (of Fox): [Laughs] Okay, that's fair, I understand. Did he say that comment that Mike was asking about, about [Bush being an] alcoholic? Did he say it? Do you have proof of it?

LUSKIN: Just pay your $2.50 and go the New York Times archive and look at his January 17th column. Judge for yourself. It's black and white.

lets go to the column:
Picture a recovering alcoholic falling off the wagon. First he says he can handle a few drinks. Then, when his inebriation can't be denied, he insists it's only a temporary lapse. But eventually he turns mean. "What's so great about being sober?" he growls, reaching for another bottle.

As a drunk is to alcohol, the Bush administration is to budget deficits.

As anyone with a brain can see, he was making a rhetorical argument about Bush and deficit spending. All this is quite entertaining. I mean having a paranoid patholigically lying conservative write a column isn't news these days. But it gets better. Atrios, one of the best blogs out there, recently had a post with nothing but a link entitled “diary of a stalker” and linked to one of Luskins columns. No big deal right? Seeing as how Luskin’s own column title was “We stalked, he balked.

Luskin is now suing him for libel because eh entitled a post with nothing but the words "diary of a stalker". And get this, part of his complaints is because of what people said in his comments section!!!

Amazing. The guy’s truly lost it. The best part is reading the comments section about luskin now after this broke. He thought it was bad before. So this friday, bloggers are urging everyone who has a blog to describe Luskin in a way they feel comfortable with, and possibly go to atrios's website and leave interesting comments.

To all you whiners out there complaining about the lack of WMD's in Iraq.

His true plan is finally revealed!!

Who cares how many biological weapons he has when all he has to do is hit left, left, up, down , left, attack 1 for infinite health?

Draft dodging, pretzel choking, Segway crashing, coke sniffing, miserable failure

It's a vast left wing conspiracy

All those bombings tell us is that were doing a great job!

But the "liberal" media will probably spin it as a bad thing.

Thank god for Pat Robertson. I will be making these into laminated cards and handing them out to friends to make sure we are all safe.

From Jerry "9/11 is our fault" Falwell himself:

Next month, the network will broadcast the controversial miniseries “The Reagans,” which stars leftist actors James Brolin (husband of the spelling-challenged singer/activist Barbra Streisand) and Judy Davis in the roles of President and Mrs. Ronald Reagan.

A script of the two-part movie has been revealed on several Internet news sites. It exposes the malicious sentiment the network (and most of Hollywood, for that matter) has for Mr. Reagan. The most controversial element of the script has the dearly loved president discussing the AIDS crisis. In the film, when Mrs. Reagan encourages him to help AIDS victims, Mr. Reagan reportedly responds, “They that live in sin shall die in sin.”

Anyone who ever knew President Reagan knows that such language would never emanate from this heroic man.

Other than the absolute shameless ass kissing involved, Falwell obviously didn't know this heroic, wonderful, perfect, gold shitting, virile, large penised, demigod of a man.

Here's Reagan himself from his authorized biography:
"Maybe the Lord brought down this plague [because] illicit sex is against the Ten Commandments."

Everyone keeps saying Scalia is the most "brilliant" mind on the court. But the evidence against that is overwhelming. This is from Atrios:
WASHINGTON - Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia (news - web sites) ridiculed his court's recent ruling legalizing gay sex, telling an audience of conservative activists Thursday that the ruling ignores the Constitution in favor of a modern, liberal sensibility.
The ruling, Scalia said, "held to be a constitutional right what had been a criminal offense at the time of the founding and for nearly 200 years thereafter."

A quick list off the top of my head regarding waht was a criminal offense at the time of the founding 200 years ago:
Allowing women to vote
Allowing minorities to vote
Heck, allowing minorities to not be owned by another human being
Aiding in the freeing of a rightfully owned slave ("damn underground railroad scum" as Scalia might say)

Forget that Scalia is a jackass. That’s the easy part. If you were widely considered next in line to be the Chief Justice (taking over for the racist and corrupt Rehnquist), would you really want to go around the country actively insulting your fellow justices by openly mocking the decisions they made that you disagreed with? If Ruth Bader Ginsburg started making fun of Clarence Thomas, do you think the conservative media would have something to say about it?

Scalia is well known as a bully who constantly insults and browbeats not only the attorneys before him, but his fellow justices. He also rudely interrupts Justices when they are asking questions. Slate magazine has a reporter on the beat named Dahlia Lithwick whose dispatches from the court are some of the best reads around.

Some excerpts regarding Scalia being his usually obnoxious school bully self:
Then Souter asks Taggart a question and, while Taggart is still responding, he asks a follow up. Seemingly shocked by his own rudeness, Souter apologizes: "I'm sorry. I was trying to get another question in before Justice Scalia."

Theres the reports of racist Rehnquists asinine behavior as well. Women are not allowed to wear pantsuits in the court. Also you are not allowed to wear hats or headwraps. This right here is my favorite:
So, as he's done before in situations where women wear pantsuits in his line of vision, or fail to wear jackets, or wear press passes (yes, Rehnquist wants all press passes stowed out of sight once the press corps is seated), the chief interrupts argument to stand and whisper to a marshal, who then wades through the press gallery to noisily remove a reporter because her clothing is distracting. This from a man seemingly undistracted by a colleague seated three chairs to his left, lolling backward in his chair with his eyes shut.

In case your wondering, I looked it up. The justice sitting three chairs to his left is Clarence Thomas.

Go to slate and check it out Dispatches from the court by Dahlia Lithwick

Right wing mel Gibson watch.

You can either take 3 things away from the fact that lightning has struck not once, but 3 times on the set of mel Gibsons "The Passion", or as its tentatively titled "Jew's kill my god". Either they are filming with metal equipment in a highly charged environment causing lightning to strike, God hates the movie, or god loves it and has trouble expressing his feelings.

According to Gibson though, theres even more going on:
"There is an interesting power in the script," he adds. "A lot of unusual things have been happening — good things, like people being healed of diseases. A guy who was struck by lightning while we were filming the crucifixion scene just got up and walked away."

Thats awesome. Now can someone cure me of the memory of Bird on a Wire.

It's official. All you jew lovers can suck on it.

The Pentagon released a statement from Boykin apologizing to those who were offended and saying the three-star general did not mean to insult Islam. The statement, which was vetted by Pentagon lawyers and spokesmen, also repeated Boykin's belief that the United States is a ‘‘Christian nation."

Rebecca Hagelin September 2, 2003:

YES! Personal responsibility! When will those liberals learn!!

God keeps coming through for me:

Police have decided to seek assault and battery charges against Yankees reliever Jeff Nelson and right fielder Karim Garcia for a bullpen brawl with a Red Sox employee.

Karim Garcia, who was playing right field and jumped teh wall to join in the beating, got a huge ovation in YAnkee stadium in the first game back there.

That tells you all you need to know about the Yankees and their fans.

David Blaines vigil ends!!

Admit it. You all secretly kinda hoped that he was gonna die in their. I mean he is annoying as hell. And its not liek he wasn't asking for it.

However David Blaine learned that there is more to life than using lame card tricks to try and get supermodels to sleep with you:

"But most importantly I have learned to appreciate the simple things in life -- a smile from a stranger or a loved one, the sunrise and the sunset, everything that God has given us, I love you all so much."

The most important lesson I have learned from this is that the British are funny.

Some threw eggs and golf balls at Blaine, others held barbecues underneath his box and one man was fined after trying to sabotage his water supply.

Others bared their breasts and buttocks at him while some banged drums to keep him awake at night

The guys a self important douchebag. And his ABC specials are rigged. They showed him going around doing his lame “levitation” stunt and all they showed were amazed reactions to it while he was off camera. Then they injected clips of him levitating off the ground. Clips that were faked for the camera. Why? Because the actual trick is ridiculously easy, and they had to have him do it numerous times until it actually worked, then they used the peoples reactions from when it did work.

here’s how its done.

FOr someone who makes a living being a bully, Bill O'Lielly is the biggest crybaby little bitch on the face of the earth.

For most of my journalistic career, I did not believe there was institutional bias in the media. I felt there was exclusionary bias. That is, certain opinions and issues simply were ignored. I worked for two network news companies, and the only time you'd hear an anti-abortion opinion would be if some nut blew up an abortion clinic.
leaving aside the obvious joke of Billy referring to himself as a "journalist", thats an obvious falsehood.

Over the past few months I've been smeared and pilloried, primarily by leftists who do not approve of my commentary.

The definition of smear is "a slanderous remar". Slander means a lie. If O'Lielly can show us who lied about him I'd lvoe to hear it. Because everythign has been critizized for has been HIS lies and HIS smears.

I'm not whining, I'm reporting.

Yeah right.....

To put things into perspective, what actors Mel Gibson and Arnold Schwarzenegger recently have suffered at the hands of the left-wing press makes my situation look like an episode of "Happy Days." These guys have been viciously attacked; even their fathers have been used against them.

Notice his lack of specifics. Mel Gibson was critizized for his supposed religous beliefs because he is a member of a radical religuos sect. A sect that his father is also a member of. His father is also a famous anti-semitic Holocaust denier. Articles have pointed this out. But to Bill this means its an attack.

Schwarzeneggers father was a member of the Nazi party. Some people have pointed this out. And every article that does has also mentioned it has no bearing on Arnold (even though he "loves" former Nazi Kurt Waldheim. But to Bill this means its an attack.

Item: Matt Lauer on the "Today" show sat smirking as one of the far-left "satirists" defamed me. When my publicist called the show asking for a chance to respond, the program turned me down.

What did he say that was defaamtory? O'Reilly doesnt say. Just that Lauer was "smirking".

The assault from the left is a direct result of the unprecedented success of Fox News Channel. Perceived by the "progressive" community to be conservative

"the left" is after him? ebcause teh today show ahd an interview with Al Franken? And the "percieved" cosnervative bias of FOX? what an idiot.

So, they're counterattacking. My name is no longer Bill O'Reilly. It's "gasbag," "bully," "liar" and "blowhard." Those descriptions are not confined to opinion pieces but are used in hard news stories as well

Yet he can't bring himself to actually metnion the hard news story that did this. He's tooo busy whining like a little girl.

You’d think a guy who makes a living telling people to shut up and insulting others would act like a man when someone actually uses similar tactics against him.

Someone should mail him a pacifier and blanket.

I pray nightly for God to smite any and all Yankees. Here is his response:

New York Yankees slugger Jason Giambi has been subpoenaed by a federal grand jury investigating a company that prescribes nutritional supplements for elite athletes, the San Francisco Chronicle reported Monday.
Authorities have refused to discuss the case, and the focus of the grand jury is unclear. Officials with the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency, however, have said that earlier this year, a coach sent them a syringe containing a designer steroid that the coach said he got from BALCO founder Victor Conte

It's a good start.

George Nethercutt. congressman from Washington.

"The story of what we've done in the postwar period is remarkable. It is a better and more important story than losing a couple of soldiers every day.”

Wednesday, October 15, 2003

Just thought I’d share this. Part of my time is spent wandering Yahoo political message boards debating conservatives (it’s become quite easy, they tend to lie frequently). There’s one guy who has and I aint kidding, defended Bush on everything and anything that he has been criticized for. The lengths he will go to are impressive. Case in point. During the campaign Bush made the following statement in a speech on Spetember 29th 2000
``We will require all power plants to meet clean-air standards in
order to reduce emissions of sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide,
mercury and carbon dioxide within a reasonable period of time.''

Here is a letter to te senate by Bush on March 14th 2001:
`I do not believe, however, that the government should impose on
power plants mandatory emissions reductions for carbon dioxide"

Broken campaign promise. All Presidents do it. But not to this guy. Here is his response:

One speech, if parsed a certain way that conflicts with what he said
both before and after that speech is NOT a promise. And it was not
seen as a promise until he adopted policies that seemed to conflict
with what that one speech said.

That is a freaking masterpiece. I love this guy. He never blinks. Bush could be caught raping nuns on video and he’d think up an excuse.

His Rush posts are something.

And of course he thinks Clinton is a scumbag rapist, meaning of “is” yada yada yada.

From MSNBC:
They beat the Cubs 8-3 in Game 6 of the National League Championship Series and forced a do-or-be-done Game 7 Wednesday night. They had help doing so, either from the ghosts that curse this franchise or just one fan who got in the way.

It was neither you idiot. Yes the kid tried to catch a foul ball that was headed his way. So would anyone else. Was it fan interference that cost them an out? Possibly. But does that make the Cubs pathetic performance after that the kids fault too?

Was this kid responsible for Alex Gonzalez juggling the ball in what should have been an inning ending double play? Was this kid responsible for Prior then sending a meatball over the plate giving up a single, then a double? Was the kid responsible for the Cubs issuing an intentional walk to load the bases and then give up a bases clearing double?

The Cubs lost the game because of bad late game pitching and fielding, and bad management choices. Its not this kids fault they couldn’t make one lousy out.

Here’s Jayson Stark with the same thing. Blaming the kid and not the Cubs for giving up 8 freaking runs in one third of an inning.

Being a Red Sox fan I see the same thing all the time. It’s the curse. Oh woe is me, were cursed. If only we didn’t sell Babe Ruth it would have magically made the Red Sox win the World Series.

The Red sox aren’t cursed with anything but years of playing in a league with no wildcard and a filthy rich and dominating Yankees that kept them out of the playoffs by always winning the division, a racist owner who hired lumbering slow white guys who could hit over the wall and nothing else, while passing over Willie Mays and Jackie Robinson, and a fat manager named Don Zimmer who had a team with a 14 game lead over the Yankees in July and pi$$ed it away (the list goes on). Pedro should’ve smacked him in the head for that alone. People complain about Bucky F’ing Dent, but not the manager who never should have let his team get into a position where they had to have a one game tie breaker.

And people who always complaining about Bill Buckner always leave out the fact that:
1. Boston was leading 5-3 with an 0-2 count with 2 outs in the tenth and then gave up 2 straight hits to tie it up. Why blame Buckner for what happened instead of the pitchers who couldn’t get one lousy out with a freaking 0-2 count?
2. The whole incident did not cost them the World Series. They lost the World Series the next day when they choked and lost by 3 runs.

It’s easy to blame curses and spirits instead of bad baseball.

If the Cubs and Red Sox lose tonight it’ll have nothing to do with that kid or a billy goat (stupidest “curse” ever!) or some dead fat guy, and everything to do with the performance of the actual teams on the field.

Some choice quotes from ESPN's Page 2

The staggering moment from the game we will long remember however was in that amazing fourth inning, when the two great rivals were angrily storming the field, shouting obscenities and issuing threats -- and a seething Zimmer came racing around the bend, violently charging Pedro with such passion and energy that the Notre Dame Victory March should have been playing.

Now, imagine if you're Pedro in this situation. You're standing by the dugout and an enraged senior citizen is charging you and raising his arm to smack you in the head. If you fight back, you're going to get ripped for attacking a senior citizen. If you don't, the old man might clobber you and knock you out of a game your team needs to win. I don't know what you would do but Pedro coolly grabbed Zimmer by the head - it's hard to avoid, really -- and pushed him to the ground.

Given the situation, the reaction didn't seem out of line. As Boston reliever Scott Sauerbeck put it, "I don't care if the guy is in a wheelchair, you have to defend yourself.''

People will excuse Zimmer because he's old and supposedly a lovable character (he isn't) but his behavior was disgraceful and inexcusable. Not that the Yankees agree. That's because they never think they're at fault whenever anything happens.

"Zim was probably out of line, too, but you have to consider his age,'' reliever Jeff Nelson said. "What, Pedro couldn't dodge him? The guy is 75 years old, how is he going to hurt you? You have to have more respect than that for someone like, an elderly man. You have to get out of the way.''

Nelson is one to talk. He was involved in such an ugly incident in the bullpen during the ninth inning that he may face arrest.

President Bush complains about the news coverage in Iraq. Too much about violence, he says.

OK.

3 more GI's killed in Iraq today.

Also, 10 year old Salam Al Shakar of Northern Tikrit got a new puppy! It's ever so cute! Praise be the Americans!

Happy now?

I like to think I have a good sense of humor. Maybe i'm wrong here, but this made me laugh out loud for like five minutes.

Holy shit.

I mean, holy shit.

San Antonio Sen. Leticia Van de Putte says that on Sept. 18, shortly after the Democrats returned from their 45-day exile in New Mexico, she was in the members lounge and approached a Republican senator with a question: "Why are you being so punitive?"

She asked the question moments after Sen. Judith Zaffirini, D-Laredo, had been warned that if she parked her car at the Capitol, it would be towed and after Republicans had placed the Democrats who fled on "probation." Any Senate Democrat absent more than 72 hours will face $57,000 in fines, levied by the Republicans.

Van de Putte, who refers to herself as a "probationer" these days, refuses to name the senator to whom she posed the question. She says one of the rules of the Senate is that anything said in the lounge is privileged. However, she told the Express-News Editorial Board on Monday what the unnamed senator said.

According to Van de Putte, the senator looked at her and said, "If you are going to act like Mexicans, you will be treated like Mexicans."

It used to be that we pulled Charles Manson out of the hole hes in and videotaped his parole hearing so we can be periodically reminded of what a truly insane and evil human being is like. THen they denied his parole and he got thrown back into his hole.

But now we have Pat Robertson.

"I read your book. When you get through, you say, 'If I could just get a nuclear device inside Foggy Bottom, I think that's the answer.' I mean, you get through this, and you say, 'We've got to blow that thing up,'

Foggy Bottom is where the State Department is located. Pat Robertson wants to detonate a nuclear device inside the state department.

A slip of the tongue! Thats all it is!

here he is in June:
"Well, it looks like Congress had better do something, and maybe we need a very small nuke thrown off on Foggy Bottom to shake things up,"

I know, making fun of Pat Robertsons insanity is an easy target. But it's important that we know the evil among us.

This describes a lot of what is wrong with this country

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Oct. 12 — A kind of pacemaker for the tummy, an implanted electrical device that fools the body into feeling full, appears to be an effective alternative to radical digestive surgery for helping obese people shed large amounts of weight.

Just put the fork down fatty.

That sound you hear is whats left of Charles Krauthammers credibilty racing out the door (from talkingppoints).

Boston Red Sox ace Pedro Martinez should have been arrested for throwing 72-year-old Yankees coach Don Zimmer to the ground during Game 3 of the American League Championship Series, Mayor Michael Bloomberg said Sunday.

"If that happened in New York we would have arrested the perpetrator," Bloomberg said. "Nobody should throw a 70-year-old man to the ground, period. You start doing that pretty soon you're going to throw a 61-year-old man to the ground, and I have a big vested interest in that."

"You just cannot assault people, even if it's on a baseball field," added Bloomberg, who was asked about Saturday's bench-clearing matchup before marching in the Bronx Columbus Day Parade.

You're right Mayor Bloomberg. You should not assault someone on a baseball field. So when Zimmer lunged at Pedro and started swinging, don't you think that fat turd should be arrested and thrown in jail? Or is the fact that he's 71 make that OK? If I hire a 72 year old homeless guy to attack you on the street tomorrow, I would hope you dont try and throw him to the ground, because youd have to go to jail.

THis is why everyone hates Yankee fans. Hypocritical assholes.

Thoughts on that wacky game:

Pedro did not throw Zimmer down. The fat f*ck swung at him so he pushed him off without swinging a punch.

"There's no question in my mind that Pedro hit him on purpose" Yankees manager Joe Torre said. "I didn't care for that."

And I don't care for a pompous hypocrite manager who is regaled as somehow "great" because he is able to take a 188 million dollar payroll team to the playoffs every year.
And He doesn't complain too much about Clemens headhunting ways while he is a Yankee.

And I didn't see him comment on his bullpen jumping and beating up on a groundskeeper for cheering on the red sox.

Rush Limbaughs statement. A virtuoso performance

You know I have always tried to be honest with you and open about my life. So I need to tell you today that part of what you have heard and read is correct. I am addicted to prescription pain medication.

"I first started taking prescription painkillers some years ago when my doctor prescribed them to treat post surgical pain following spinal surgery.

OK. then, lets recap. He says he's always tried to be open and honest about his life. Therefore he is now "admitting" hes been addicted to drugs for 6 years. And the only reason he is admitting it know is because he got caught.

"Immediately following this broadcast, I am checking myself into a treatment center for the next 30 days to once and for all break the hold this highly addictive medication has on me. The show will continue during this time, of course, with an array of guest hosts you have come to know and respect.

"I am not making any excuses. You know, over the years athletes and celebrities have emerged from treatment centers to great fanfare and praise for conquering great demons. They are said to be great role models and examples for others. Well, I am no role model. I refuse to let anyone think I am doing something great here, when there are people you never hear about, who face long odds and never resort to such escapes. They are the role models. I am no victim and do not portray myself as such. I take full responsibility for my problem.
Yes I have a huge drug habit I've been hiding for years, whcih inluced numerous ilelgal drug buys in the parking lot of a denny's. After trying to hide it from the public, the story finally broke and I am forced to admit im a junkie. But dammit, I'm not a hero!!

Don't worry Rush, "hero" is not the first word that comes to mind.

"At the present time, the authorities are conducting an investigation, and I have been asked to limit my public comments until this investigation is complete. So I will only say that the stories you have read and heard contain inaccuracies and distortions, which I will clear up when I am free to speak about them.

"I deeply appreciate all your support over this last tumultuous week. It has sustained me. I ask now for your prayers. I look forward to resuming our excursion into broadcast excellence together."

Heres some of his broadcast excellence:

And so if people are violating the law by doing drugs, they ought to be accused and they ought to be convicted and they ought to be sent up.

Amen.....

Thats fucking amazing. (nothing like an easy fucking joke!)

WASHINGTON (Hollywood Reporter) - The Federal Communications Commission decided that U2 singer Bono's utterance of an obscenity during this year's broadcast of the Golden Globe Awards did not constitute a violation of the nation's broadcast indecency rules.

On Monday, the government agency's Enforcement Bureau rejected complaints by the Parents Television Council and others that Bono's use of the phrase "this is really, really f---ing brilliant" failed to meet the test for indecency. The bureau ruled that Bono's indiscretion was so "fleeting and isolated" that it did not run afoul of the rules.

It's amazing how quickly conservatives will sell out their credibility to cover for Bush. Syndicated columnist Kathleen Parker:

What Kay really says in his report is that he and his inspectors have found "dozens of WMD-related program activities and significant amounts of equipment that Iraq concealed from the United Nations during the inspections that began in late 2002."

And that's just the beginning of a laundry list of findings that should chill a vampire, including a clandestine network of laboratories suitable for chemical and biological warfare research and a prison lab complex possibly used in human testing of biological agents. ...

Surely before the war, those circumstances posed a threat, perhaps even imminent, that if allowed to flower would have provided

OK lets recap her logic:
If we let Saddam continue with his programs he would have become an imminent threat, so that made him an imminent threat.

I got this from Bush's "official blog". The thing is hilarious.

Help the President find the leaker.

"We have to look at people who they are today, not what they may have done wrong in the past," Hatch told the National Press Club Friday. "There isn't a person in this room or anywhere else in the world who is perfect, who has lived perfectly."

Liberal Media at it again.
I just flicked past MSNBC's ahrdball and who did Matthews have on asking him the questions of the day?
G. Gordon Liddy. A convicted felon who gives people tips on how to kill federal agents (..""They've got a big target on there: 'ATF.' Don't shoot at that because they've got a vest on underneath that. Head shot, head shots."...kill the son of a bitches.." )and urging people to not register their guns (a crime) on his radio show.

There they are chatting about california recall, the Bush leak. My jaw dropped.

Protests over the game "Ghettoopoly". Here is the AP article, after I put it through the ebonics tranlator:

Yo buss dis. A 'Ghettopoly' board game be held by a demonskrator durin a protes outside an Urban Outfitters sto in Philadelphia, Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003. Many in de black hood be outraged ovuh de 'Ghettopoly' game, sold by de retail chain Urban Outfitters, dat has 'playas' actin as pimps an' game cards readin 'You gets yo whoe hood addicted to crack. Collect $50...' Black clergymen say de game, de braincrum snacha uh a Pennsylvania man, should be banned. (AP Photo/Mark Stehle) Sheeit!

Idiot loose in Philly…

Notice he’s a “former U.S. Marine turned screenwriter”

Refresher course for the jarhead:
Congress (not ESPN) shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Real or fake?

Man at this point im not even sure. And frankly don't care.

Now thats a fan

funny.

Bill O'Lielly meltdon watch.

He goes on NPR to hock his piece of shit book and they, gasp, actually ask him about the fact that he's a liar.

he has a meltdown. Go listen (forward to the last 5 minutes)

and the classic showdown between him and Franken is here

O'lielly explodes at him after Franken literally cuts him to ribbons.

Whatta bunch of goddamned crybabies.

Post has 3 articles about the "controversial" Home Run call last night

Daily News had it on the freaking cover. You'd think the world ended.

and the interview with the brain dead douchebag fan was priceless.
Josh, clad in jeans and a black-and-gray sweatshirt, reached over the railing, insisting he did so in self-defense.

Yeah. You leaned over the railing with your glove extended to protect yourself. Whatever....

Speaking of Douchebags:
Steinbrenner said afterward: "You were there, you saw it. I wasn't very comfortable."
Gee George, I didn't see you complaining about the phantom tag in 99 or when that little snot caught a fly ball that was incorrectly called a HR in the 96 series against Baltimore. The little shit commits fan interference, for which he should have been ejected from the park,he'sd hes a New York hero, going on Kathie Lee, and getting announced to cheers every night at the park.

You seemed pretty comfortable then you scumbag.

I watched an interview with some drunk mullet headed goon last night insisting that the ball hit his glove, then they showed the replay again (they treated it like the freaking Zapruder film) and the mullethead was looking in the complete other direction.

And more importantly, even if it was a foul ball, the sox won the game by 3 runs. If itll keep the entire New York fan base from sucking there thumb and wetting there pants (and quite possibly doing a hula hula dance) over it, then change the final score from 5 -2 to 4-2.

Either way, SOX WIN.

Gee, I guess I wanna find out who committed treason in my administration…..

"I don't know if we're going to find out the senior administration official," Bush said. "I don't have any idea. I'd like to. I want to know the truth."
But, Bush said, "This is a large administration and there's a lot of senior officials."

As a fellow blogger pointed out, what would be the reaction if Bush said after 9/11:
"I don't know if we're going to find out who killed all those Americans in New York and Washington," Bush said. "I don't have any idea. I'd like to. I want to know the truth."
But, Bush said, "International terrorism is a large thing, and there's a lot of terrorists."

Sox win game one. All is right with the world.

Theyll blow it of course. But its good to get at least one win.

Welcome to the world of a Red Sox fan.

I'm steadily losing respect for John Kerry. I understand that primary politics is all about attacking the front runner, who happens to be Dean. It can get nasty. George Bush calling Trickle down economics Voodoo economics(well actually he was right, but then when Reagan named him as VP Bush whored out completely and supported it), That jackass Lieberman talking about the Dean depression, or how Dean will take us into the political wilderness (as if Democrats are doing so well already).

But Kerry has truly gotten nasty. I'm talking Karl Rove, Lee Atwater nasty.

Calling Dean a Yankee fan.

And now Kerry is completely whoring himself out by taking on the Sox theme of Cowboy Up. Now Kerry will have a "Cowboy Up for Kerry" effort.

It may sound petty, but Kerry just lost my vote.

Sox Vs. Yanks.

Cowboy up.

I fond that if I expect the sox to lose it makes everything go much smoother. That way if they win its a nice surprise.

Its is right now 5 to 2 in the seventh. If the sox blow this game im going to say bad words.

Had my first Howard Dean for america meeting last night. Interesting. This whole grassroots volunteering may be fun.

From the responsibility era.

Republican Congressman Cass Ballenger who admitted to having "segregationist feelings" toward a black congresswoman, has ended his marriage of 50 years.

No, its not because she liked the darkies. It was because of the towel heads!

He blames Muslims.

And he also blames the fact that his wife could no longer accept bribes, I mean gifts, from lobbyists.

I personally blame it on the fact that he's a racist duechebag.

Don't mess with Boston fans. We're tough.

Pedro and Zito tonight. Pray.

WBZ-TV4 Sports reports that Oakland pitcher Tim Hudson was "totally smashed" and got tossed out of Club Q in Boston (located above "Hennessy's of Boston," off Faneuil Hall) Friday night along with Barry Zito. Involved in a barroom brawl, Hudson swung at a bartender and mixed it up with fans, it took 6 to 8 bouncers to remove the uncooperative Hudson from the premises at 12:30am. He is rumored to have been hurt in the fight, and this may be the reason he left the game early today.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle "It was a big melee. He was throwing haymakers,'' said the security guard, who spoke on the condition his name not be used. "Honest to God, he's 160 pounds and it took eight big guys to hold him back,'' the staff member said of Hudson. "It was five minutes of mayhem.''

Conservatives defending the indefensible.

The Conservatives are out in force to do everything they can to get rid of the CIA leak scandal
First Bush when asked talks about how he is against all leaks, thus changing the subject.
Some conservatives are making this about Wilson and how partisan he is. As if it matters.
Some are arguing about the statute and whether or not it applies. Doesn’t change the facts.
Novak changing his story again and again to confuse the issue.
Democrats are being “Partisan” about it. Irrelevant.
The WSJ says the real issue is the fight between the CIA and the WH. No its not, its about leaking a CIA agents name and endangering her life…..

This has been officially coined in the blogosphere as the Chewbacca defense.

Quoting from South Park, here is Johnnie Cochran:

Ladies and gentlemen of the supposed jury, I have one final thing I want you to consider: (pulling down a diagram of Chewie) this is Chewbacca. Chewbacca is a Wookiee from the planet Kashyyyk, but Chewbacca lives on the planet Endor. Now, think about that. That does not make sense! (jury looks shocked)
Why would a Wookiee -- an eight foot tall Wookiee -- want to live on Endor with a bunch of two foot tall Ewoks? That does not make sense!
But more importantly, you have to ask yourself: what does that have to do with this case? (calmly) Nothing. Ladies and gentlemen, it has nothing to do with this case! It does not make sense!
Look at me, I'm a lawyer defending a major record company, and I'm talkin' about Chewbacca. Does that make sense? Ladies and gentlemen, I am not making any sense. None of this makes sense.
And so you have to remember, when you're in that jury room deliberating and conjugating the Emancipation Proclamation... does it make sense? No! Ladies and gentlemen of this supposed jury, it does not make sense.
If Chewbacca lives on Endor, you must acquit! The defense rests.

Looking good. Time to take out my Burger King Collectables and decorate the cubicle...

This is pretty horrifying stuff. Republican spokesman creates a blog that makes fun of a senator who was tragically killed by having the title of his blog be the tail # of the plane that crashed and killed Senator Carnahan and his son.

Rush's website links to a story about a santa robbing a store of Oxycotin.

Was this an early attempt at him confessing? Did his guilt overtake him? A story about an unidentified fat man stealing his favorite "little blues"?

Who was that fat man??

Cline said she found a new supplier for Limbaugh and worked out a way to hide the pills from his wife, Marta, by stashing them under his mattress.

(insert fat joke here)

This'll be good.....

Hans Blix had five months to find weapons. He found nothing. We've had five weeks. Come back to me in five months. If we haven't found any, we will have a credibility problem. - Charles Krauthammer, April 22, 2003

I love Calpundit. The guy does a great blog. But the whole friday cat blogging thing is just creepy...

I’ beginng to think he is literally incapable of being honest:

“The report states that Saddam Hussein’s regime had a clandestine network of biological laboratories, a live strain of deadly agent botulinum, sophisticated concealment efforts and advanced design work on prohibited longer range missiles,” Bush said."

A live strain of botulinum is found in virtually every microbiology classroom, and backyard around the world, and is not particularly daeadly and definitely NOT a WMD.

botulinum toxin on the other hand is dangerous and deadly, but Kay’s report doesn’t show he found any. Obviously they knew that they had nothing and needed to sex it up.

So they are being deliberately misleading once again.

It's disgusting.

Rush the drug addicted felonious pill popper.

For a second there I toyed with the idea of having sympathy for the man.
But then I remembered when he called then 13 year old Chelsea Clinton the White House dog.
And told a black caller to take the “bone out of his nose” and call him back.
Or when he called Tom Daschle the devil.

And I realized the fat fcuk is worthless pile, and I wish nothing but horrible things for him.

This is gonna be fun….

"Drug use, some might say, is destroying this country. And so if people are violating the law by doing drugs, they ought to be accused and they ought to be convicted and they ought to be sent up,"

Rush in 1995

Quote of the day (from atrios):

"Free nations don't develop weapons of mass destruction."
-Bush
