Yet another friend of mine who is pissed off enough to start a blog and rant about it. My friend Theron’s blog Reconstruction.

Theron comes from a fairly conservative family. His dad is a Chief of Police with a bumper sticker on his car during the nineties that proclaimed “My President is Charlton Heston”, and a dining room filled with stuffed animals. While he is a Republican, He’s a classic Northeastern Republican. Fiscally conservative, socially moderate to liberal. He voted for Bush in 2000, against my wishes of course, and now regrets it. Even his NRA dad voted Kerry this tiem around, Bush being the disaster he is.

The depths of Tom delays corruption has gone beyond even parody. And the fact that this simply becomes another ho hum story that may get some notice on blogs is just depressing.

At this point, if Tom Delay was found raping drugged up toddlers in his office, he’d simply have the House pass a new law making it legal for House members to rape small boys. Then it would be the subject of a Crossfire where Tucker Carlson would call democrats "whiners" for objecting, they'd figure out a way to blame Clinton, and that would be that.

Welcome to Red Strate America. Where talking incessantly about moral values is much better than actually having them.

Nerd smack talk.

PC's rule.

Via Roger Ailes, we get another glimpse at the sterling moral fiber that is Red State America.

Former Georgia School Superintendent Linda Schrenko, whose groundbreaking political career dissolved into erratic behavior and defeat, was indicted Wednesday on federal charges that she stole more than $500,000 in taxpayer money and spent part of it on cosmetic surgery.

The federal funds purportedly were used to purchase computer services for two state schools for the deaf and the Governor's Honors Program, but officials say the services weren't delivered.

A former teacher and principal whose only prior campaign was a losing race for school superintendent of Columbia County, Schrenko was first elected to head the $6 billion state Education Department in 1994, running a down-home campaign and with a 100 percent approval rating by the Christian Coalition. Once in office, she put personal friends on the DOE payroll, including her pastor and his wife.

And the icing on this shitcake? Shes advocated teaching both the Bible and Creationism in schools.

Fantastic Four footage leaked.

And it looks like shit.
